Welcome everybody. We have gathered here today to discuss the gating creatures of Planeshift. A group of creatures that bounce their teammates back to your hand, but in exchange, they tend to be overpowered for their casting costs. We also take a look at a few Premodern legal reprints in the upcoming Modern Horizons 3 set. If you wanted to pick these up cheap, you may get your chance soon. Finally, we finish up in the Old Mage Commander corner, where we get one week closer to finalizing our 2024 old-frame Commander decks. Hope you enjoy!

Does Deadguy Ale exist in Premodern? We find out today in episode 87 of The Old Mage MTG Podcast. Join us as we review what I think is a classic Premodern Deadguy Ale deck. We also discuss the recent record breaking Alpha Black Lotus sale. Does it deserve an even higher price tag than The One Ring? I think so. Hope you enjoy!

Join us as we journey through the Premodern squirrel card pool. In this episode, we review the old-frame squirrels you might want to use to spice up the upcoming Bloomburrow Squirreled Away Commander precon. We also discuss what to do with all those squirrel tokens if you're bored of simply trampling your opponents with your squirrel mob. Perhaps an Opposition Squirrel deck is more your style.

Join us as we discuss the eponymous Deadguy Ale deck, #2 Rogue Deadguy Ale: A Homebrew by Chris Pikula. Have you wondered why B/W decks are called Deadguy Ale decks? Well I sure have, and we may or may not answer that question in today's episode. We also take a look at an ongoing buyout in Premodern MTG and we add a few more spells to our 2024 Commander decks, which are starting to come along nicely. Hope you enjoy!
